Terms of Service

Version 1.1 · 19 August 2026

This is a draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it must be
before the app is published.

1. What SOSI is

SOSI helps you find small, real-life plans near you, and lets you create your own. We provide the app. We do not organise the plans, we are not present at them, and we are not a party to anything you arrange with the people you meet.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your password to yourself.

You also have to pass a short camera check when you sign up. It confirms that a live person is behind the account, not a script or a stolen photo. An account that has not passed it cannot be used.

3. Meeting people you do not know

This is the part that matters most.

We do not verify identities. A name on a profile is a name somebody typed. We do not run background checks, and a profile carrying a badge is not a person we have vouched for.

Use your judgement. Meet in public first. Tell somebody where you are going. Leave whenever you want, for any reason or none. The exact address of a plan is only revealed once you join precisely so that this stays your decision.

If something is wrong, report it. Every profile and every plan has a report option, and every person has a block. Blocking is symmetric and immediate: you stop seeing each other everywhere in the app.

4. What you may not do

We may remove content, suspend an account, or refuse service where we judge these terms broken. Suspension takes effect on the account's next request.

5. Your content

What you write and upload stays yours. You grant us the permission we need to store it and show it to the people the app is meant to show it to — the members of a plan, the people browsing nearby plans — and nothing wider than that.

Do not upload images you do not have the right to use.

6. Premium

Premium is a paid subscription. What it unlocks is listed on the subscription screen in the app, and every item on that list is enforced on our servers. If something is not enforced there, it is not sold.

Who takes the money. Payment is handled by the store you installed SOSI from — Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or hold your card details. The price, the currency and the tax are shown by the store before you confirm, because the store is the party that knows what they are where you are.

Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you turn renewal off. You do that in the store's own settings, and at least 24 hours before the period ends — that is the store's rule, not ours.

Cancelling. Turning renewal off does not end the period you have already paid for. Premium stays on until the date it is paid through: taking back three paid weeks because somebody cancelled would be taking something they paid for.

Refunds are the store's decision under the store's policy, and we cannot grant one. If the store refunds you, Premium ends immediately.

Price changes. If the price changes, the store tells you and asks you to agree before the next renewal.

Free trials and introductory offers, where a store runs one, follow that store's rules.

When a subscription ends — cancelled, expired, refunded, or a payment that did not go through — the Premium features stop and the rest of the app keeps working exactly as before. Nothing you created is deleted.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this section.

7. The assistant

The assistant suggests plans from the list you are already allowed to see. It chooses them with a ranking that weighs your interests, how far each plan is and when it starts — arithmetic, not a model. With Premium you can also write to it, and there a language model writes the reply; a model can be wrong. Either way what it says is not advice — about safety, about people, or about anything else. Judge its suggestions the way you would judge a stranger's.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the app working and make no promise that it always will. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something that matters, we will say so in the app.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between people who meet through SOSI, for plans that do not happen as described, or for loss arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending it

You may stop using SOSI at any time. We may end your access if these terms are broken.

You can delete your account yourself: Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. Plans you are hosting that have not happened yet are cancelled and everyone going is told; plans that already happened stay in their history, without your name or photo.

11. Law

The governing law and the competent courts are to be set by the publisher before release, and must respect the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.

12. Changes

If these terms change materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
